Point Pelee National Park

Located at the crossroads of major migration routes, Point Pelee National Park welcomes thousands of birds and birdwatchers alike each spring. Dedicated to the protection and presentation of this unique part of Canada, Point Pelee National Park is home to a diversity of species seen few other places in the country. Established in 1918, Canada’s ninth national park was created to protect the unique migration that happens here each spring and fall. Point Pelee is part of a system of 48 national parks and national park reserves, 174 national historic sites and 4 marine conservation areas administered by Parks Canada.

Friends Point Pelee

The Friends of Point Pelee is a co-operating association formed to support research, education and ecological integrity preservation in and around Point Pelee National Park. The Friends operate a number of visitor services inside the park, such as the Nature Nook Gift Store (located in the Visitor Centre). Proceeds from sales and services support our operations as well as Point Pelee National Park initiatives.
