Christina Lawrence is a Resource Management Officer at Point Pelee National Park. She grew up in northern Ontario exploring the bush, making forts with her younger brothers while discovering the plants, trees and animals that lived in her backyard. Christina pursued an education in forestry at college and natural science at university which lead to a career working as a park naturalist with Ontario Parks before migrating to the south and working at Point Pelee. Christina has worked at Point Pelee for 12 years where she conducts surveys on the health of the plants and animals that live here; as well as conducting prescribed fires, field work on Middle Island, invasive species, savannah restoration, protecting turtle hatchlings and monitoring species at risk trees. When not working, Christina enjoys scuba diving, sailing, biking across Iowa, backcountry canoeing, hiking and camping.
