Spotlight on Essex County’s 2023 Checklist (12 pm)- May 15

Last year- today! Join Cameron Chevalier for a walk through 2023’s best and rarest species seen in Essex County! Highlighting the record-breaking year, Cameron will share insights on new sightings and the region’s more common species.

Cameron is a birder with a deep passion for birding in Essex County and at Point Pelee specifically, having done so in some capacity since 2014. Chevalier has been an eBird Reviewer for Essex County since 2021 and has taken on the role of local bird records compiler since 2022, owing it to his passion for documenting what he feels is invaluable local historical data. Chevalier is a recent University of Windsor graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and currently pursuing a master’s degree in biology.
