SPOTLIGHT ON programs are included with park admission and registration is NOT required. Our experts will spotlight special topics each day. The sessions will focus on various topics, from birding basics to bird song identification to restoration work in the park.

NATURE WALKS, BEGINNER FAMILY FRIENDLY HIKES AND INTRO TO THE BIRDS OF ONTARIO WALK are included with park admission but registration IS required.

Gull identification can be daunting when you first start out, and it can seem easier to avoid looking at them entirely! However, gulls offer a treasure trove of entertainment for those who dare to venture into gull identification. After this presentation, you’ll have the tools to begin confidently identifying gulls so that you can approach this group of birds with enthusiasm!

In this series of vignettes, the presenters talk through what it means to have hope in times of app-focused attention on birds, and offer art-based examples of how to count on birds in order to continue both digital and analog coalition-building in the name of conservation.
