About Leader
Annika is a wildlife biologist based in Guelph, Ontario. She’s loved nature for as long as she can remember, but caught the “birding bug” while studying Wildlife Biology and Conservation at the University of Guelph. She went on to research wetland birds’ habitat preferences for her master’s degree, and has since worked in ecological monitoring and Species at Risk recovery. While she’s excited to see every bird she can at Pelee this spring, she’ll be keeping an extra eye (and ear!) out for Red-headed Woodpeckers, one of her favourite species.
