    About the Leader/ Presenter

    Quinten Wiegersma

    Hike Leader

    About Leader

Quinten is a naturalist born and raised in London, Ontario. His fascination with nature began from a young age, and has only grown since then. Quinten works as a seasonal park naturalist in Algonquin Provincial Park, where he leads educational programs for thousands of park visitors each year, in addition to contributing to the knowledge of Algonquin's flora and fauna. While one could say his first love was birds, Quinten's interests now include all aspects of the natural world with a particular emphasis on insects, plants, and ecosystems. There is a story to everything in nature, and he enjoys understanding and telling these stories. Quinten is currently an undergraduate at the University of Guelph majoring in Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
