This troubling phenomenon occurs because birds do not perceive glass as a barrier to avoid. The problem is worsened by urban development and the increasing use of glass in modern architecture.
This presentation aims to illuminate the science behind bird-glass collisions, examine the factors contributing to these incidents, and discuss the innovative solutions available to address this critical issue. By implementing bird-friendly practices, we can significantly reduce the number of avian fatalities and foster coexistence between urban environments and wildlife.
